Well, I seem to remember that Cotty went to the dark side because Pentax did not seem interested in producing a DSLR at the time. That was not jumping ship, that was giving up hope. As such it is understandable. OTOH, those who chose Canon instead of Pentax should be excommunicated (GRIN).
