When my video card died a year ago, I replaced it with a GeForce GT630.
It has 2 gig of DDR3 ram and cost about $75 at Best Buy. Seems to
work just fine with LR5, PS Elements 12 and OnOne's Suite 8.

What kind of connector does your video card have? More precisely, what
kind of slot does your PC have for a video card? That makes a big
difference in what's available.
This computer, the one I use for general internet, is old enough it has
an AGP slot. When I had to replace the video card a

Cool! I see crystals sublime very quickly - but not as fast as the time
lapse video. The reverse video is especially interesting. It is amazing
how fast they do disappear. WIlson Bently wrote that he would mound snow
around the crystal he was photographing to build up the relative
humidity
As John mentioned, you need to verify which type card you have. It's
probably PCI-E unless your computer is very old, but check to be sure.
You don't need all the memory and high end stuff for Photoshop so a
1-gig card is plenty. I recommend going for a fanless card, myself. My

This is my buddy Nick. He filmed the ice races last week with an old Boloflex

Once in the air they're non-stop.

Well, actually Bridge ...
I just noticed it makes strange little noises. When it's making
thumbnails there's a little squeak sound. When it's writing metadata
(batch processing to append copyright) it makes little pseudo-harddrive
seek noises; pseudo because they're coming from the computer
