Yeah, but somehow I don't see me rolling that thing around in the woods !
If you don't want the weight then you just have to take along less
equipment.
I use a Tamrac backpack (it also can be carried as a shoulder bag) that

Probably overkill but I snapped a couple comparison shots between the
Nova Sport 35L and the bags I had been using, and put them here:

Hi Malcolm
Yep - I have it. Not sure what happened to the acknowledgement -

I don't get bags. I have one of modest size that will hold a camera, two
lenses, a flash and a laptop. But all my "motherships" are hard, indestructible
Pelican cases.

I think you mean Supermarine Spitfire, Godfrey! Supercharged 27L V12 Rolls
Royce Merlin/Griffon engines. When they changed the exhausts to point
backwards like that, the max velocity increased by 30mph. A magnificent
example.

Nice! But the underground illumination is puzzling. Are they vents for an
underground mall or parking garage?

Very nice composition, rendering, and title, Godfrey. I like the interplay of
the diagonal lines and row of circular exhausts; and I can imagine each
cylinder pining for the chance to pull the plane into the air.
A P-51?

Thanks Rick!
It's a Spitfire Super Aquamarine. Hard to see from this angle as I was
concentrating on the Merlin exhaust stack with the ultra-ultra-wide lens, but
it's the same plane as in this photo:

There you can see the tell-tale shape of the Spitfire fuselage

Is mine one of them Brian? This time I didn't get a submission
acknowledgement, and it isn't on any Spam folder.

I use the "mothership" strategy - take with my anything that I could
need and when I get to my destination deploy the gear that I want to
use. I keep an empty medium shoulder bag in the car that can at most
accommodate one larger and a couple of small ones, and it is what I take
in the field.
