The story behind the name is that the first surveying crew in the area
(way back when) set up camp there and found a broken ax nearby, so they
named the place "Bad Axe Camp" - and it stuck.

Thanks, Larry. The lighting is a little unusual - the barn is orientated
north to south, and this shot was taken with the camera pointing almost
due south, just a few degrees south-east. The sun is out of the frame,
about 60 degrees to the right. This was about an hour before sunset. So
filtere
that's quite a stunning photo.
