My only comment is that the colorful background/props tend to distract
from the real subject, the people. Not sure how I would minimize them.
Small children tend to be scared of me, so I don't photograph them
much... :-)

If you're just looking for some way to generate a gallery to upload to
the web you might look into Porta

They're fun family snaps, but you're right: the background is too busy.
One pot of flowers in the lower foreground would be fine perhaps,
although it depends on the rest of the scene. Trust your eye to create
a balanced and pleasing scene. Non photographers will generally try to

They're all beautiful! No way they could take a bad photo.
The subject's interaction is all important in these types of shots,
making the background clutter irrelevant.
Posed studio set-ups normally require a cleaner background in the
interest of undistracted subject focus by the viewer.
