You are making sense, Bruce. Honestly, I, too, prefer the original full
porch shot. I offered this to give another choice to those who might
prefer it.

I don't disagree. I just had to put one up that included the rose bush
and mailbox.
If I had thought the scene worthwhile, I'd have asked if I could come
into the yard and porch area to really work it.

I got that from someone else, also. When I posted it I subdued the
light so as to make out the roof shingle detail.
My monitor doesn't agree now, but then it may be my 'normally'
developing cataracts..as my eye Dr put it.
Thanks!

Nope, don't like the crop - it loses a lot for me - the essence of the
porch was all the stuff on it. The crop takes all that away and
focuses on a specific area that wasn't where I really focused before.
It is kind of like comparing a picture of a bird to a picture of a
bird head. If you only wa
I like the angle and composition of the first shot better.

Light is the big issue here for me. It is very bright and harsh. The
actual porch looks to have some very interesting things to look at
but, you'd need to improve the light to get a really good shot.

While nicely exposed & focused, this one doesn't do anything for me.

Thanks, I did, however, sort of like the full house version that
included the rose bush and mail box. The guy in the camo pants didn't
add much. ;)

Took a few shots from my drive-by position. Shot a few as I slowly
moved along changing the perspective.
I didn't notice the gentlemen on the porch until I had taken 2 or 3. He
wanted to know if he could help me with something to which I replied,"I

Thanks, Marnie. I have some other views to play with and may try it

Hmm. This one doesn't do much for me. The rendering seems a little
bright and harsh.
