Today Pentax Italy said that they expect the first batch of K10D coming
around mid-November.
The last time I checked (10 days ago) thay said early November.
So it appears there's some delay after all.

I think Pentax wants to see us squirm and salivate while holding our
money out in wild eyed anticipation.

Dario, I believe the statement does not specify whether the delay is
Japan only or worldwide. Hence we are all left to s
The delay is due to despair and hand wringing over the appearance of
moire on some crappy monitors as well as marketers agonizing over the
lack of an aperture simulator and the resulting loss of sales to

Hi Dario,
It's not a rumor. The K10D is delayed worldwide, apparently until
Pentax has enough units to cover all the pre-orders and still have
some stock. Amazon.com sent me a notice just this morning saying that
the delivery date has been delayed, and they're not sure what the new

Not that I have any basis to doubt your information, but how do you
know these things?
Home country not being 'served' first..for example.
Does "scheduled to be on sale" mean immediate shipment thereafter in
the US?
Thanks,
Jack

understand this delay thing.
AFAIK, the situation is the following:
1 - The K10D was scheduled to be on sale worldwide (including Japan) in late
October/early November.
