Ha! regarding coincidence! I saw the first episode of the prequel when it appeared  - didn't really grab me -- I was unhappy that the Lewis series was over- mighthave colored my opinion, but I didn't like the lead actor at all- didn't see Morse in himin that one episode - and maybe the plot
