Hi!
First of, congratulations! You accomplished a whole lot during last
several months ;-).
Now to your lens question. It is 28-70 btw, *not* 28-80.

Love to buy the lens and maybe the camera, but I can't afford either
right now. Very sad...

Jens,
I agree with Mark here. It is a US$1,000+ lens in terms of quality
and full frame coverage.
Mark can do a better job of comparing it to the DA16-45/2.8 which he uses.
I've resisted buying the new lens as I have the older one and am quite happy.
Price would be an issue as the new DA16-45/2.8
And congratulations on the baby. The wave in the picture was very
cute! Regards, Bob S.

Thanks Bob.
I think you're right. I use a Sigma 10-20mm. Only 4-5.6, but quite useable
and nice - rectiliniar. I own lots of lenses including the old Limited
ones - but I rarely use other lenses than this one, my Tamron 28-75mm and
my FA* 2.8 80-200mm and occationally for maacro my Tamron 2.5 90mm
