I was amused by this part of the press release: Burlingame, CA, January 14,
2008..(PMA) Convention, held this week from January 31-February 2,
2008...
this week???

Well it depents.
If used in conjunction with the fine (art) filter, yes.
If used with the course (grain) filter the results are more chunky.

It's an email filter -- keeps kittens from posting to the list (all
they do is send links to cat photos...)

Excellent stuff. Mind you as a marketing strategy it's an improvement
on the TWO page advert for the about to be discontinued K10D in this
week's Amateur Photographer magazine in the UK.
Sometimes I despair of their marketing people

correct for any horizon tilt? :-D

That's not necessarily bad marketing. They may be trying to clear existing
stock. And while we know a K20D announcement is pending, we really don't know
what the actual release day will be. It could be six months from now.

Good point Paul. I just checked in my new diary. It doesn't even have
a provisional date for hell freezing over, let alone the K20D in the
shops.
Mind you with the Borg due to assimilate us in just over three
centuries, I hope Pentax get their act together in time to ensure a
reasonable return
It's still speculation that the K20D will actually officially replace
and not supplement the K10D in the Pentax Line. Pentax was aiming at
having three DSLRs in their line at the same time. Right now
Pentaximaging.com, (Pentax USA), has only two. Heck I never did see a
K110d in the actual
IMO it would be smart to keep the K100D.
They would market the K100D against the D40/XT and the K200D against D40x/XTi.

Hmm.
N.Geo button sounds like a Ken Rockwell feature. Imagine him
being the next
High Profile Photographer using Pentax. Him and this Benjamin
character
It's actually programmable, your choices are National Geographic, and
Ken Rockwell, there were going to be Ansel Adams and HBC options as
well, but after the Ken Rockwell option was added there wasn't room...
