Upon viewing your pix, it's obvious that the mystery item has proved to be
somewhat of a bargain (despite your winder not working correctly).
Catalog number 37353 LX remote battery cord. (From stock).

I think what you have is the remote battery pack, which is a power
source for the Winder LX or ME II, It's used for keeping the power
source warm during cold weather.
