WOW! Thanks so much. I tried it and it works, although it's a bit
cumbersome compared to the EyeDropper program Geoff mentioned. However,
it's nice to have more than one option, and I can see myself using both
at various times.

Yes. For Windows user (not sure if that includes you, Shel) windows Paint
does the exact thing that gabriel discussed in his email, and I'm about
99% sure that windows Paint comes with every Windows package (its under
Accessories).
