Looks like a hard drive failure happening in slow motion. However
before replacing the hard drive, replace the cables. They can go bad at
any time. (It's the easiest and cheapest thing to try first). Do it
soon as bad cables can screw up your OS installation, damage data and
make you wish

I finally got it going about 2 hours later.
Not sure if this was the fix, but i finally cut all power to it, left
it like that for 10 minutes, then plugged it all back in.
Then it was fine.
Also i had removed the internet cable for use of the mac. Maybe that

I think i may have a major problem with my PC. Pentium 4 winblows XP Home.
It will power up, i get the Nvidia dos start sceen, then the Intel
Pentium 4 colour screen, and then it just sits there and does nothing
after that.

Sounds like the on-board battery has died. It should be user
replaceable. The manual for the chassis or motherboard will tell you
