Until I adopted gmail some years ago, my email address was more criptic.
But now I just live with being out there and only say nice things... :-)

The archive has always been available on the web. It doesn't worry me
in the least. The world is no longer a private place. Participation in
almost any web activity leads to public exposure. I find that to be a
positive thing for the most part.

There is no opt out. Since anyone can join anyone can compile and
display archived e-mails as this is a public list. Yes you are
paranoid. Even paranoids have enemies. Unfortunately the only way to
protect your privacy is to never post anything.

Ecke, my problem with the web is the way things cling online, no matter
what I try to erase them. Not that I wouldn't admit I wrote and posted
something, but old versions of photos, small, badly scanned. Texts with
