My main concern was that these things actually work - I'm not so
concerned about having a queue of batteries waiting. I'll always have
extra charged batteries available.

For me, one of the biggest hassles with multiple chargers comes from the power
cords. Long ago I bought a Pearstone 3rd party charger for my Pentax-compatible
DLi-90 batteries, this has the advantage of a fold-out plug rather than a power
cord.
