His name is Tim Pratt and he writes contemporary fantasy. His best
know stuff is the Marla Mason series. He has a website where he has
serialized some of the MM novels so you can give them a try. It's

photographers will have is to find a way of getting the right exposure to
the right people. People are not going to look at a great many places in
search of good work, so the outlets will coalesce around a few
