Just tossing this out there to see if there is any solutions to my
strange problem.
A few months ago i started to hear noises in my computer room that at
first oi attributed to outside bird activity, upon closer
earzamination these noises were coming from my iMac. I get two types,

I think your iMac is haunted.
Didn't you read The Ghost in the Machine?

Just a SWAG, but it might have dust build up inside. That's what I'd expect from
a Windoze machine with those symptoms. If it was a Windoze machine, I'd suggest
opening it up and vacuuming it out.
With an iMac, you're probably going to need to take it to an authorized Apple
service provider.
Depending on the Mac, sooner of them you can open up. You can also try blowing
canned air through the vents

My guess is accumulated dust within a rotating part, most likely a fan.

Or the fan could be running excessively trying to keep things cool.
Dust is a great insulator. I shoot canned air into my old iMac's
innards through the cooling vents and sl

You've probably got some Canada geese stuck inside the computer and they can't
talk clearly into the mike to let you know, because it's a bit cramped in there.
If you leave the computer in a bath full of water for a couple of days the
geese will drown and you won't hear the noises any more.

Suggesting that any Apple product is big enough for even a single Canada goose
to hide in probably warrants a visit from the Apple intafada to, er, adjust
your attitude. I agre with your suggested cure for most Apple ills, however.
I believe the technical term is dunking.

Heson Blumenthal would probably pay a substantial sum for a picture of an apple
stuffed with a goose.

Description sounds like fan noise to me. Probably just needs dust
removal, could need fan replacement. The only other thing I could think
of would be bearing failure, which could be a hard drive, which is
infinity worse.
