John, Taking a guess here, it sounds like you may have a Tamron Adaptall lens with the m42 adaptall mount attached. (You could get a KM adaptall mount to replace the m42 adaptall mount and save yourself the need of an m42 to K adapter. If it is an Adaptall lens, it is probably either a 22A or a
