I made some abstract geometric images exposing photo paper to light with
various configurations of covering it up with various objects... trouble
is you then have to
photo that as it won't last - or at least I couldn't figure a way to do it.

Scan them immediately and reprint them on digital paper.

I early said - photograph them :-)
It would be the same thing...
Now I'm wondering wehre those old abstracts are and it makes me want to
do more.
I don't ahve any old un exposed real photo paper left...
BTW they lasted a long time in dark storage... I got bored with it
after a while.
Ann you have to develop them too. If you don't the silver crystals
won't stabilize and the fixer will simply dissolve them.

Of course developing them won't do much good after the rest of the paper
is exposed to light, since it would be all black.

Hi Ann,
What kind of mess did you make? Did the ink and the printer get messy?
You could take up painting, perhaps :)
Yes, I have done some and
Old gelatin silver paper cannot be used in an inkjet printer. The ink
will not stick properly to the paper surface. And, unless you fix the
paper, it will eventually darken and discolor.
Unless you're going to get to work in a wet darkroom, the paper is
worthless and should be recycled.
Unless you fix that paper, (under no more light than a safelight), it
will turn gray then totally black very quickly. You won't have great
pictures for very long. It seems like a poor use of photo sensitive
paper to run it through fixer wash and dry it, just to print an inkjet
image, (which

yeah it didn't take -- it was glossy
Lasse,
Hi, nice to see you posting.
Have you considered trading the paper for some prints.
Can you find someone who is still running a wet darkroom and printing service?
Would they take paper in trade for some printing?

Thanks Joseph and Cotty (? :) )
I hope you find a good use for the boxes...I use mine for storing
unmounted prints, as the boxes are acid free and very durable.
