K10D, DA 50-200 at 200mm. I set my K10D at f6.3, 1/200th. Put the
camera in TAV mode and let it select the sensitivity. This shot came in
at ISO 1600. Converted to BW in the channel mixture. I like this
shooting mode. Would not have wanted to think about ISO when I pulled
the trigger on this. B
Pensive moment well caught.
IMHO, 1600 ISO worked very well with this rendering.

Thanks Shel. Yes, TAV can save a lot of fumbling in changing light or
when moving from sun to shadow. For this kind of shooting, I usually
want a fast shutter speed and a big stop, so I'd much rather change the
ISO when the light varies.

I'm very fond of the way the K10 renders noise at high ISO. It does
look like film grain.

Thanks Russell. Everything is still a test of sorts with the K10, but
I'm giving it a workout. At first, I used it just like the D. Now I'm
trying some different approaches. In brief, I love it.
