Funny, because for me the second flower out of focus makes the shot. It makes
it more than just a shot of two flowers side by side and gives it some 3
dimensional depth. Nicely done!

For me the image would be much stronger if the lower flower was also
in focus. Maybe use Mark's focus-stacking tricks? :-)

Every year I plant about two dozen dianthus, among other varieties, in
the planters on the rails of our rear deck. This is the first year
any of the dianthus have been pure white. They are usually shades of
red, pink and purple, or bicolors of those shades with white.
