Exactly. The R71 is more like an 89C which looks like a strong red
filter

filter. I sold mine but my sister still has her's.
I use a converted G3 now, mostly.
Are you letting the camera find focus, or manually focusing with the
IR difference in mind. Asking as my istD shots were never as crisp as
this one.
