Thanks, I found it by going up one level to the thumbnail gallery

It's remarkable how pretty neglect can be, and it seems especially so
Pretty with the flowers. No matter what we do, nature always prevails.

I was gonna say you need to clean your sensor (but then read on...)
I like what you've done here - good use of Photoshop (I assume you
didn't just make a straight print and then beat it all to hell - but
that would be fair :-)

Hi,
I spent an afternoon in some private gardens at Mt Wilson recently. On
the way out I found this old fountain and grabbed a couple of so-so,
blurry snaps. My excuse is it was dark in there, the light was waning,
and I on 2 knee trying to focus, hold everything still and not topple over.
Evidently you are very well versed in PhotoShop, Peter ;-).
I kinda like what I see though I think I might want to see a slightly
less edited variant.

That light patch on the top right coming down near the fountain really
commands my attention. It makes it so that I have trouble really
picking out the subject. I suspect the white sloppy border makes this
feel even worse. This one doesn't work for me.

I like what you've done but I wish the fade out surround wasn't so uniform.

nice b+w conversion, I do not care for the fade out personally, and I
agree with Bruce about the light patch, but everything else I like.

Hi Boris,
Thanks for the feedback. I don't use photoshop - way too much in it for
me. I prefer Picture Window Pro; that's what I used for this.

Hi Russell,
Thanks for the feedback. Haven't got Bruce's reply yet, but I know
what he's referring to already. I've been experimenting with reducing
that light patch, but haven't got a satisfactory result yet.
I tried it with no fade-out, but it needed something. I've probably gone
too far
I like the idea and the result certainly looks 'olde' but I think I'd like it
more if the border was a bit less defined - perhaps fading over a larger area
or having the outer edge less white.
Cheers

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the feedback. Yes - others have commented on the size and
symmetry of the faded edge. I'm going to play with it a bit more and
see how it goes.
