Just as others have said -- Great composition. Loved the way the birds
and wave pattern is in the picture (though I personally wouldn't have
noticed the one-legged bird story if you didn't mention it). It does seem
flat on my monitor but then I have never calibrated it.

Bruce,
Love the line of the birds. Composition is totally well done.
May not be the case here, but there are birds that appear to rest on
just one leg.
Did you watch long enough to tell if this is one of those species?

Yes, I did watch that bird quite a bit. All the others of the same
species stood on two legs and hopped about on two legs. This one
stood on one and hopped about on one. As best I can tell, he really
is missing the other leg.
Thanks for the comment.

Nice photograph, Bruce. Everything seems to come together well in this
one. It looks a scosh flat on my screen, but I'm using the old monitor
today.

Love the composition. Especially the way the birds are oriented, with
the outcast bird orthogonal to the others. The wave edge shape is very
complimentary also. Nice catch.

Thanks Shel. On my screens it doesn't seem flat - but maybe others
will give some feedback.

Thanks Gonz. I waited for the waves hoping that the birds wouldn't
change position too quick. They didn't seem particularly bothered by
humans, so that helped.

Nice shot, Bruce. Well composed and executed. On my screen it looks just about
right. It's flat light of course, but that's entirely appropriate and, in fact,
desirable for a shot like this. I might crop a bit off the bottom of the frame,
but that's largely a matter of personal taste.

I like the composition; always liked diagonal waves curves, plus the
line that you get by connecting the birds complete this one for me.
It is a touch flat in my monitor but didn't bother me that much.

Nice capture Bruce. I see a much stronger image using just the foreground
four birds.
Nice light.
