My K-5 is doing fine as well, I like the colors and dynamic range. All I wished it to have is a flipscreen. And the possibility to use the PLM version of the 55-300, that I would like to have, but which won't be a good choice for  my K-1 either. Henk Op 2021-03-11 om 18:28 schreef Alan C:

Yes, same as a K5. Surprised they didn't go for something like 24Mp. As you say, all the newer APS-C models have more Mp. However, I must say I find the 16Mp of the K5 to be quite adequate. Alan C On 11-Mar-21 05:59 PM, Henk Terhell wrote: Very nice bird pics! On cropping: I recall a video

Very nice bird pics! On cropping: I recall a video of Northrup saying that a 36 MP FF sensor in crop mode results in 16 MP, so it is better to use a modern APS-C camera with a crop lens. Henk Op 2021-03-11 om 02:51 schreef Larry Colen: TLDR; my guess is that the 150-450 would do no

Walking in the woods with the 150-450 and K-1 on a monopod with a Black Rapid strap is fine. I use that setup to shoot sports as well. For birding I use it on a tripod with heavy duty ball head and the DA 1.4X converter. I shoot full frame knowing the converter will vignette a bit in the

That's what I would think but I'm not sure. The KP and DA300 is the max for me handheld. with the 1.4 TC I only gain detail if I use a tripod or get lucky handheld. Once I find a good deal on the 150-450 I'll bite. The 150-450 / K1 probably is no fun for walking around. On Thu, 11 Mar 2021 at
