This german page lists rebates for the K-3, K-S2 and K-50. Rebates are
given in euros and swiss francs and are 100, 50, and 50 respectively.
This appears to be a Ricoh Imaging initiative, so one would think that
if it is offered in Europe that we would see it announced elsewhere
very soon.
The card says you need to suplly (emphasis mine):
1) *Original* completed rebate form. (Copies are not accepted.)
So you need to have purchased the K-7 to get the card and cannot just
print out this PDF.

I don't see this anywhere on pentaximaging.com website,
but Walmart has this rebate form on their website:
http://i.walmart.com/i/rb/k7_bouncebackf.pdf
The end-date is 12/31/2010 (!). This is strange.
$60-100 MIR for various DA lenses, and $25 MIR for the FGZ flashes.

I forgot where I read this, but there was something about a rebate
card to be included with the purchase of a K-7.

Thank you for this additional info.
I don't understand why Pentax doesn't post this information on
their website, and why one needs to look at somebody's (albeit
a president of Pentax Imaging) web-blog.
It appears that rhe card doesn't say one really has to purchase K7

The implication seems to be that the card is included in the K-7
package. Maybe someone in the US who has purchased the K-7 can tell
us if they received this card. I don't see the K-7 on the Walmart
website. Are they selling the K-7?
But, yes, it would be nice to have this on the Pentax

The last rebate period ended Sept 30. Does anyone know if we can
expect more rebates or have we seen the end of these with the Hoya
takeover?

As soon as you conclude there won't be any more
rebates and buy something, there will be another
rebate program. That's what happened with my K10D!
There's a corollary of Murphy's (Sod's) law in there
somewhere...

That's exactly what I am afraid of. I have been thinking about
ordering a DA 70 or a FA 77. Looks like I might have waited too

The rebate form with my 77 Limited said to expect to wait 8-10 weeks,
IIRC. My check arrived in about 9 weeks :)

I submitted my rebate form for my recently purchased 10~17 Zoom. Today I get
an email saying the rebate was not being honored because it was not
submitted within the time period alloted.
I submitted it the next day after purchase so it surely was within the 30
days of purchase.
Any others out
Walt,
Time to complain to Pentax. Call them.

Walt,
The company they have handling the rebates is full of
bozos. The same thing happened to me when I put in a
rebate request for my 16-45. I sent a strongly worded
email, and a couple of weeks later got an email saying
that my rebate was being processed. The check arrived

I got mine from a purchase of a 31 Limited just about
two weeks ago. The check took 6 weeks.
I had exactly the same problem with the purchase of an
Acer LCD monitor two years ago, however. I was livid.
But then, I bought the thing from CompUSA ...enough
said.

Any others out there getting stiffed!!
Well, there were two rebate offers over the summer, one of which ended in
early July or August and the other which picked up from that date and I
think is still current. Hopefully you used the correct form. The only
difference (aside from the date) was

Sorry, I should've mentioned other rebates at the same time.
The first link has a few rebates for a few Pentax PS digital cameras.

I got mine in a reasonable amount of time, maybe 4-5
weeks. I would still call them to make sure it is in
process.
