The current real street price of the D is $1350 USD via BH, Adorama, etc. I wonder how much this will drop? If Pentax can afford it, a $1050 D would be a good competitor. The other rebate with the DA 16-45 is also nice since this sounds like a nicer than consumer grade lens. Is our favorite

I do not know is Pentax will have something new in DSLR stable, at this point I'll be happy to see Pentax prosumer digicam like Panasonic FZ10 or Coolpix 5700. I also realize that I will have to invest in new zoom lenses if I choose to get *istD or its successor. My lone Pentax zoom is 28-70 f/4,

I don't own a *ist-D but I have been able to play with one in a local camera store. (Yes for those of you in Connecticut, there is a store that stocks Pentax and yes the do have an *ist-D, two actually, in stock). I tried out my 28-70 on it and it seemed like a very nice range, if you're not
