Which one? they made several different
90mm macro lenses.
I have a MF 90mm f2.5 in adaptall2 mount
(55mm filter version ) that has outstanding
image quality and works well in every mount
I have tried including KA.

Dave, I used to have Tamron 90/2.5 the earlier version with 49 mm filter
threads. I had it with KA adaptall adapter. It was splendid lens. There
was just one very small problem with it. Sometimes it would produce a
flare/glare circle straight in the middle of the frame. That was with

Pentax produces DFA 100/2.8 which seems (I am not sure really) no worse
than FA version and it is really light and small (49 mm filter threads)...
It is also said to be optimized for digital and it does cover full 35 mm
frame.

I couldn't possibly tell :-(. I wonder that myself.

Same result :-(. But I suppose I know what you're talking about - Modern
90/2.8 AF variety.

I have the AF version of the 90mm Tamron f2.8 in Pentax mount, very happy with
it. It is probably more flare prone then Pentax glas.
However, why would you give up the FA 100/2.8?

I've been using this version for years and think it's excellent. However, I've
never had anything else to compare it with.
It's an adaptall 2 lens which adds to its usability immeasurably. In addition
to the Pentax K/KA bodies, I've used it on an old Konica T3, various M42 bodies
and,
Indeed, I agree with you, Brian. If one own more than one camera system

Pentax ;-).
