Sounds like it could use a UV filter behind the mirror and in front of the
shutter

One pro here in Columbus does a lot of digital,
but uses neither the Canon nor Nikon for the very
reason. He's got one of the sealed Olympus systems.
Also, I've seen some 16x20 prints from 5+ mp ditial cameras.
The detail is not there for close inspection, but is adequate
for normal viewing dist

The last I heard it was still projected for later this year.
This month is the Pentax sales meeting, so
I have yet to see one, though I have seen the images from it. There
is a chance that the squadron photographer will be getting a D1x and D1h so
I should be getting a chance to play with them soon enough.
By upgradable it is the fact that the frimware can be updated. This
