Brian: What great fun! Chicago should do something like this along the
beaches of Lake Michigan. Very nice job on the photography, despite the
midday light. Of the sculptures I really like Nexus & thought Drifter and
New Man quite funny. Nice job, Brian. Cheers, Christine

I love that stuff, it's really enjoyable.

hi Brian,
lovely collection there, enjoyed going through it...i remember your
photos from last year too...
so you did go for the K200D.
Some nice work here, both on the part of the sculptors and the
photographer. Some, like the Arabian nights piece, lend themselves
better to artful photography than the others. But a nice collection of
photos overall.

Thanks Rick
I was quite happy with many of the images but, even so, next year I might spend
a night at Bondi to take advantage of different lighting conditions.

Hi Marnie
Yes, they are real (although with some of the other sculptures it was sometimes
hard to tell)
I noticed this couple sitting down and thought that the framing within the
outline of one of the sculptures would make for an interesting image.

Thanks, Bob
"Who Will Save Us Now" shows one of the real benefits of digital photography to
a mug like me. The contrast between the shadows and highlights was substantial
and it took a bit of photoshopping to extract some detail from the shadow areas.

These are great shots, Brian. The mid-day light
doesn't hurt them at all, and in fact you have taken
nice advantage of it.

Nice gallery, and some interesting sculpture. I like Souvenir (Famous
Views), but the Lemon Tree is unnervingly scrotal, and makes me think
of the Afar tribespeople of the Danakil valley. Who Will Save Us Now
is also very good in the way it makes us of the rock shelter, the
light and shade.
