Pretty useful long normal to portrait length.
Good macro feature at 80mm.
Good Bokeh and color.
Rather weak in the sharpness and contrast areas.
This is on the ist-D, haven't tried it on film.

Close focus is about 3.5 feet or some such. Yow!
I used it for a while on the DS when I was borrowing it from my dad.
