I belive that yeh Pentax 24-50mm was practically unchanged through M, A, af
F series.
They'll probably sell for 100-300 USD, so not THAT cheap. My daughter has a
quite nice Tamorn adaptall 24-50mm. Not ekspensive. But hard to find.

You may want to consider the Vivitar Series 1 19-35/3.5-4.5. Comes in a
KA/Ricoh mount that works just fine with the ZX-M, the ME Super, and other
older Pentax bodies, but you won't want to mount it on a newer AF body: it
will unforgivingly jam on the mount.

The A24/2.8 is definitely a nice lens, but they tend to run higher

About the only wide-angle zoom lens I can think of at that price,
new, is the DA18-55 supplied in a kit purchase with *ist DS body.
