Hard on the Maple.
Our part of Chicago dodged most of it.
Temps were too high for freezing to last.
Try some chemicals on that driveway.

Those are really neat.
I like them all, but "Ice Storm Eight" really appeals to me.

Thanks Dave and Brendan. I considered converting some as BW. May give it a try
one of these days.

Thanks Bruce. Yes, I can imaging Missouri gets a lot of this.
Generally, it's too cold here for ice storms, but this has been a
warm winter. As you know, it has to be right around 32 degrees F for
this to happen. The precipitation comes down as rain and freezes when
it hits the tree branche
Thanks Mark.

Four & five work for me Paul. The color in four & the placement of Townsend
in five.
I stomped around my place with the same ice but didn't spot anything I
thought worthwhile to photograph.

Kinda like this one ...

Shot on film, probably MZ-S, could be any almost lens I owned at the time.

Well, I like them all the best. Very cool looking, but reminds me of
living in Missouri and dealing with freezing rain storms. I'm glad
that I can look at your work, rather than seeing if first hand.
Nice shots!

Thanks Jack. Yes, I had to tiptoe down the front stairs. Walking on
ice is no fun.

Lived in Iowa for about 25 years and these shots remind me of both the
beauty and hazards of ice storms.
These days, I would break my face (and camera) trying to navigate in
such conditions.
All shots well caught.

I like # 3.
Looks like you got it a bit worse than us.
Not much at all on the trees up this way. Roads a little slick, but it
only took me 10 extra minutes to get to work.

Thanks Eric. I went blue with the temperature on the fourth one. I
could have done that with all the conversions. Might revise some of
them.

Thanks Rick. Yes, we still have power. A few trees down in the
neighborhood but not a lot of damage. However, I'm glad I didn't have
to go to work today. Thanks for making picks. Helps me narrow it
down. With previous ice storms, I sometimes got some subsequent sun.
No such luck today. But

One and four are my favorites. Ice storms are
beautiful to photograph but a pain to live with!
Apparently you have power, though...
