I'm just wondering how much $$$ it will be for this camera. 4K? 3K?
If it was around 2K I think I might bite, anything much higher and
it'll just be on my wish list for a long time.

Look at the street prices for the Nikon D810 and Nikon D750 and take the
average. So about about $2350.00 but the price will probably fall to
Nikon D610 price levels after about 9 months...

I don't think Pentax thinks that far ahead.
Well, Pentax starts a naming convention, follows it for a few models,
then screws it up, then starts

Your “selector switch” might be just that. I had taken it to be a release lever
to allow rotation of the selector knob. But the markings you point out make it
seem more like a switch.
But what I totally don’t understand is the purpose of the film winder knob on
the far right of body top. No
I can actually see the use for it, though I can't imagine it being a
high priority. See, my dream would be having a working aperture ring, a
shutter speed wheel, and and a dedicated. (well, programmable, but
that's how I'd set it up), ISO wheel, which would put all the important
exposure
Yes, I've been looking at them this morning and noticed something that
I'm not sure we've discussed yet (if it was, I missed it):
Under that selector knob just to the right of the pentaprism is a
selector switch that seems to have 3 settings.
The switch is seen well in this large overhead view:
It looks like the stills/video selector.

Interesting choice of name if it is the K-1. From
