I think you can. Just select RAW->DNG, then set RAW+JPG. I don't see
any reason that combination wouldn't work.

Actually, this is perfect for a friend of mine. She's going to be
travelling, wants to document her travels with good quality RAW images, but
also wants to give out snaps to some of the people she photographs. We
found a couple of portable printers for her - and now she can shoot RAW and
JPEG and

Maybe I'm being dense, but can someone explain to me what's the difference
between the simultaneous RAW+Jpeg recording and just extracting the full
sized jpeg from the RAW file?
I've been doing this for a couple of years now. I use the jpeg for
reviewing, quick & dirty edits & for emailing to f

I remember reading an article a little while back about t
Saw that, yes.
The Olympus C8080WZ had that feature too. Although I tried it, I
never actually used it ... it's too difficult to estimate things on
the little LCD screen and not reliable to a calibrated screen.

Maybe... if I was shooting only in RAW and decided I wanted some quick JPGs.

Ok, show of hands: who will actually use this in the real world?
Not something I'd ever use.

Note that the DC in is 8.3V instead of 6V (or 6.5?).
Using AA bateries (at least using 4 of'em) would be 'no way'...
4*1.2=4.8V instead of 8.3? hehe ...

I use RAW&JPEG very infrequently with the KM A2. Can't avoid it with
the Sony R1, but I set the JPEGs to minimum size. It's of marginal
value to me most of the time, but there are times when having the
JPEGs available immediately out of the camera are all I need for a
quick turnaround, and

At one time I thought it would be nice to have such an option, but it seems
that the only time I use JPEG these days is for Q&D work, like putting pics
up on eBay or grabbing a few snaps of the cats around the house. For that
I generally use the little Sony, so use of the combined RAW-JPEG may be
