Thank you for your kind words, Malcolm.
Yes, this is very sad thing. And one cannot possibly really prepare for
it. The moment before and the moment after are so profoundly different...

Hi Boris:
Very sad to hear about your difficult year. Darrel & I send our condolences.
It seems you and I have had a similar kind of year. In January my very best
friend of 20 plus years had a heart attack and died at the age of 54. Then in
July, my dad died, and now my mom is not doing very

Boris my father died almost 20 years ago from congestive heart failure.
It was expected, but it hurt. He was a relatively young man, in this age
of medical miracles. It still hurts, but only occasionally, and it's
bearable.

Hi Boris,
Just wanted to say that "time", more than anything else, helps healing
our wounds.
All of them. A little or totally...
And 2016 is time. Some more time...

My dad passed in Nov of 2013 and I still haven't recovered, time does
make it a little easier though.

Thank you, Carlos.
Almost a year passed since March, when it all happened, so I can feel
the healing effects of time, to some extent... I need more time, that's
for sure.

Yes, especially now that we finally moved in into our own apartment, it
feels different too... The "glass half full" is an ever uphill battle
for me... At least now, that I am aware of this trait of mine, I can
deal with it, and not let it overcome me.

I am sorry for that, Boris. My father also died in the same way when I
was very young (23) and living abroad at that time. Time will heal your
wounds for sure, but it is a slow process. Be patient and strong, and
enjoy your life as much as you can.
