Different standards I suppose, or different lenses. I will agree that
it becomes razor sharp at
f8.0.

It's good. Resolutionwise, if you shoot it at f 8 or f 11, it's
as good as it gets.
I'd also say, based upon my own testing, that it's quite good at f/8
or f/11, but quite soft, on the other hand, at wider apertures.
