IMO the AF system of *ist IS more advanced than Z1/MZ-S. The problem with the D (I'm talking of what I have in my hands, dunno for the DS/DL...) is that the motor is weak as hell. Why do I think it is the camera motor? Simple: Take nice example: my F70-210 (yes the one;). I noticed it focussed

Upgraded AF seems to be in the eye of the beholder. The *ist-D/Ds/etc. was supposed to have an upgraded AF system but to hear others talk about it the PZ-1p and MZ-S had faster AF lock in spite of having fewer sensors. I haven't got either of those cameras to compare mine to, but I'm often
