Shel, you can flash somebody with it. :-)
Speaking seriously, - some people use flash as a convenient format
to create short clips/movies

Flash has not been used properly. It's possible to write entire
applications using Flash but the Welcome page use is just
stuff and nonsense.

I've used it to do presentations. There's a bit of a learning curve
but it's nice not to have powerpoison getting in the way.
