I've never understood this, so maybe somebody could enlighten me. What
makes people think they have to crop the image to fit the paper?
To my mind it's a brain-upside-down way of thinking, but I've heard
and read it so often that perhaps it's me that's got something wrong.
Cut the paper to fit th
Cropping the image to the paper allows use of standard frame sizes with
even matting on every edge.

Of course, you could always buy frames in different shapes. At Ikea,
they have a lot of odd (to North America) Euro sizes -- print to those!

Man, you got something against standardization? Next you will be saying
it is OK to shoot square images, or something. If God had meant for us
to produce anything but 4x6 prints he would not have invented the minilab.

George Eastman seems to have agreed with you, at least his first
roll-film camera shot round images.

I've found a source for Ilford Galerie Smooth Gloss for about 25% less
than I can get it anywhere on line. I print to fit that and find frames
and mats to match. But then I'm a Yankee, (read cheap).
