I never connect camera to computer, but I have found that SD cards are much more difficult to read after being extracted from the camera than are CF cards. I've never had to reinsert or wiggle a CF card. I frequently have to do that with SD cards. Sometimes repeatedly. Paul On Apr 21, 2008,
