I read about it.
The basic command to propagate a change to the slaves immediately (when
using AXFR) is:
pdns_control notify domainname
eg pdns_control notify maurand.com

In BIND I can specify that one zone file is used for multiple domains.
Is there a way to accomplish this in pdns? The goal of course is to be
able to edit a record only once and have the change affect several
domains.

This sounds pretty scary, it seems to concerns recursors and
resolver-libraries. The way to solve it, is to use port randomization, which
shouldn't be a big suprise to the PowerDNS-using community.
