o back to BIND if I will continuously be told such things when
asking for basic help or I'll find one of our devs who knows the product. I
just wanted to get some hands on time with it first.

lking about sorry.
In terms of obfuscating, sorry but all I obfuscated was the actually domain
name. The rest of the records show clearly. I cannot post private information
which I do not own.

I'm not sure if this will show up so I'll post both the inline and the url of
the images I've taken.
First, I created the SIP SRV records on the master. There are 9 SRV records.
http://tinypic.com?ref=2r21xy0"; target="_blank">http://i64.tinypic.com/2r21xy0.png"; border="0" alt="Image and video
So, I was able to get the master slave setup going.
the issue now is some SIP records. I can't seem to find enough information on
how to enter some of the SRV records.
# pdnsutil check-zone domain.com
[Error] Following record had a problem: domain.com IN NAPTR 0 "s" "SIP+D2T" ""
_sip._tcp.domain
I've set up a master/slave to see how things might go if using pdns for some of
our domains.
On the master/authoritative
allow-axfr-ips=x.x.x.x (the slave server on another network)
disable-axfr=no
master=yes
setuid=pdns
setgid=pdns
launch=gmysql
gmysql-host=localhost
gmysql-user=powerdns
gmysq
Actually, I've now decided that I will create a two server setup.
A master slave setup to replicate records and have DNS redundancy.
Once I have these working, I'll point GoDaddy to my DNS servers and disable
theirs.

re which might cause this.
I don't have any IP blocks, nothing else in there is enabled.
This seems to be a common problem but finding the answer is not easy, so far :).

That would be nice and simple but I need the dynamics to be 123.domain.com,
345.domain.com, etc.
I think it sounds like my only option is to try learning enough about pdns to
become de
I have the following installed; pdns 4.0.3-1pdns.el7
On a centos7 server.
The manual at;
https://doc.powerdns.com/md/authoritative/howtos/#basic-setup-configuring-database-connectivity
Says to start the monitor;
/etc/init.d/pdns monitor
I have no such service, mine is installed in;
/usr/sbin/pdn

I was wondering if I could keep using godaddy with my static records

Nice. Thanks.
So, the only part I need
ots of people explaining how to install but
most are outdated, some have mismatched information, it's a mess.
I think it's finally working now and your input on my other questions are
helping. I'll respond to that shortly.
Thanks for the help!

I've been toiling with pdns for the past few days and keep finding that much of
the information on the net on how to go about setting this up is a mess of
versions that don't work.
I've rebuilt from scratch and this should all be pretty simple but to confirm,
I need some help so posting here.
