I was trying to summarise Barry Levitt's comments on the
Western Hemsiphere FTA for the purposes of a reply, but
decded I couldn't really do it fairly, so those interested
will have to refer back to his post.
In conrast to Barry, however I think that the POTENTIAL
effects from a WHFTA
It seems to me that WHFTA is half of the U.S. response to its declining
economic hegemony: open up cheap labour and resource rich countries for
U.S. companies by reducing tariffs and, probably more important, getting
