To all whom it may concern:
I have really enjoyed the stimulating discussion on Korean reunification,
the continued U.S. military presence there and its relationship to inter-
state competition, and the "cultural" dimensions of both the North and
South Korean development models and political
As an American-born and -bred sociology graduate student almost completely
ignorant of world history until recently (now I'm just relatively ignorant)
I must concur w/these remarks. The aspect of the "liberal" U.S. media's
"world" coverage which I find most appalling is that on sub-Saharan
level of analysis, not a comparative national one -- the interface between
W. Coast U.S., E. Asia, and even C. America and Chile, and so on.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Didn't Jerry Brown light a spark to all this flat-tax hoopla during
his Democratic nomination campaign ? Granted, he wanted to accompany
federal flat income tax with an elimination of loopholes and writeoffs
exploited by those with enough wealth to hire expensive tax lawyers,

Pen-L'ers,
What do any of you make of the world-historical significance of this

The extended reproduction of capital requires that the costs involved
in capital goods production fall faster than the costs of consumer

Does anyone know of a Marxist who makes the preceding argument, and if so,
