Travus is a country boy now. He's lived in Silver City Nevada for the
last 30-some years, was coming down to Santa Cruz weekly to do the
most incredible call-in show on KPIG, the swinish offspring of KFAT,
until the station was sold about 6/7 years ago.
Now he does a syndicated new & commentary,
When I teach about the binomial distribution, the example I use is the
probability of global thermonuclear war. If the chance is .01 in any given
year, it's two-to-one that it will happen at least once in the next century. Of
course, if you've seen one, you've seen them all.
