Hi,
I'm elated to announce the release of PXPerl 5.8.7-1!
One of the most interesting new thing in 5.8.7-1 is perhaps the
ability to select GCC (MinGW) to compile new modules, eg. downloaded
from CPAN.
Many other changes:
+ Upgraded to Perl 5.8.7
+ Upgraded to Pugs 6.2.7
+ Upgraded to Parrot 0
Hello,
In build_tools/build_dynclasses.pl, line 22 :
# qq[] isn't guaranteed to work, but it's safer than "" as some platforms
# (eg FreeBSD) have ""s embedded in their substution values. q[] is used in
# some places as Win32 paths have \'s in, which qq[] treats as
escape sequences.

Hello all,
I've just released PXPerl 5.8.6-2, with Pugs 6.2.5 and Parrot 0.2.0
for Rules support. I've not tested the Rules support deeply, only some
snippets from the Perl 6 Bible (S05); seems to work.
Give it a try!

Thanks.

Hello,
"make install" with Pugs creates a pugs.exe.bat file in Perl bin
directrory, which is useless and don't work since pugs.exe is not a
Perl script. It should be removed.

Hi,
No, Pugs is stand alone. No need for Parrot.
A pugs.exe file is produced by the Haskell compiler; it has no
dependencies except the provided libs.

Hi,
First congrats for the advancement on implementing Perl 6, it's impressive.
I'm the author of PXPerl, a Perl binary distribution for Windows. I
just released a new version, and I added Pugs to it
(http://pixigreg.com/?pxperl).
I have clearly mentioned in several places of PXPerl that Pugs is
