Hello:
We have a problem with pgpool II.
We have setup a replication system for PostgreSQL 9 using pgpool II with two
nodes. The system is work: when we insert some record in the pool (port
), the data is saved in node-1 and node-2. We can also stop a node and
recover it properly.

ah, the other way around :P
i would think
libpqxx3-dev
or libpqxx-dev, which is probably a meta-package (independent of version nr)
it seems from the error that you don't need the server files, only
libpg, which is a client library

Hi,
Usually you need a ...-dev package if you want to compile anything against it.
But i can't find a postgresql-8.4-dev in my ubuntu lucid (10.04).
That might mean that you have to compile postgres also, or find a
repository for the -dev package.

Hi Dear List,
I am trying to start a multi-master single slave replication with pgpool-2.
I read the tutorial available but I could not exactly figure out what is to be
done!
Do I have to do the installation for every node, as it is for slony?
Does anybody know a step by step tutorial?
Thank you

Please could someone give me an idea of what pgpool is, and where I can research it?
I have run a search on postgresql.org and found many references, but they don't explain what it is, and it doesn't appear in the documentation index of the v8.1 manuals.
Hello list,
I have a 2 database cluster with pgpool running. It is configured as a load
balancer and is working good untill I start a VACUUM, then the database
goes in degeneration mode...
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
Thanks for helping.
