If you find that the pulley is not out of round just replace the felt on
the governor stop. Don't oil it. Use real wool F-1 or F-2 felt and not
fabric store fake polyester felt.

Bill, I ran into a problem like that with my Edison Home. It turned out the
governor had too much play. Also, lubricate the tensioner. That seems to be a

devise a quick and dirty but effective way to check for out-of-round, by
securing one end of a stretched out paper clip or stiff wire under an existing
screw, and bending it so the other end nearly touches the
