Congrats for making pida work on win32! Unfortunately none of the core
develoeprs even owns a copy of windows for compiling testing. But
perhaps someone from the community can help...

We tried something like this a few years ago as a fork of the original pygtk
scintilla bindings. We had a fairly usable editor from it, but eventually
random segfaulting stopped us from using it.

I am reliably informed python-kiwi package is broken too. Kiwi uses it's
own dist stuff. The best way is to install the latest release from the
website:

In summary, I am not sure scintilla is the way to go. If you want a
notepad+ type editor, have a look at MooEdit, which is actually
integrated into PIDA already.
Scite is also a possibility. If it is embeddable, and has a decen
at some point during the week.

I hope you mean "ObjectTree". Your version of kiwi seems to be too old. Please
uninstall the Ubuntu version, and install the latest version from the kiwi
website, or from contrib/ in the
rc, check for the PIDA_EMBEDDED variable.

AUTHORS file was a mistake, you can find the latest version in SVN, or
here: http://pida.co.uk/trac/browser/trunk/AUTHORS.txt
There is no current changelog, but there will be by 0.5.1.
Note that we expect to release 0.5.1 within in 2 eeks or so.
